The impact of health status on the success of any rabbit enterprise cannot be underestimated. Being highly sensitive to coliform infections, diarrhoea is a common problem. This leads to poor performance, dehydration and ultimately death. Mortality is the major issue in rabbit production and levels of 50-70% are not unusual.
