Egg production is increasing rapidly and the consumption of eggs is rising in most countries. Optivite has global experience in egg production and has built up an extensive network throughout the industry over the last 30 years.

Optivite leads the way in designing diets and feeding programmes to optimise egg production taking into account all the local market factors. Rearing programmes are carefully integrated into the overall plan to ensure that the correct levels of feed consumption, egg production and egg weight are achieved.

The importance of these performance factors cannot be underestimated. One extra egg can increase farm profitability by up to 0.06 euros per bird equivalent to a financial value of 1.50 euros per tonne of feed. Reducing the feed consumption by 1gram per bird per day can give a similar increase in profitability.

In some markets optimising the egg weight by as little as 1g per egg can alter the profitability by as much as 0.75 euros per bird. This adjustment represents a financial value equivalent to 18 euros per tonne of feed.

Vitamin Mineral Premixes to ensure the correct micronutrient levels in diets, vital for optimum performance levels and egg quality. Optimum premix specification can improve egg production by up to 11 eggs per bird and change egg weight by up to 0.8 grams giving it a financial value equivalent to 30 euros per tonne of feed, increasing profitability by up to 0.60 euros per bird.

Genex Poultry can increase eggshell quality and increase egg weight by up to 0.8 grams per egg. This can increase profitability by up to 0.60 euros per bird giving Genex a financial value equivalent to 15 euros per tonne of feed.

Optifat specialist fats can be used to influence egg size by up to 2.25 grams per egg. This gives the potential to increase the profit per bird by up to 1.20 euros per bird which equates to 40 euros per tonne of feed.

Optomega for Poultry can be used to increase the omega-3 fatty acid level in eggs by up to three times creating a specialist high omega-3 "healthy egg".

Reducing Salmonella and other harmful microbes in feed as part of the biosecurity programme can be achieved by using and Moldgard antimicrobial products.
